Sure, the weight loss looks incredible in the moment. But what happens once you come off? From what I keep seeing, the weight comes right back, often with extra on top. Meanwhile your metabolism takes a hit and you end up in a worse spot than where you started.
And honestly, can we talk about how nobody actually knows what these drugs do after years of use? The longest studies I've found cap out around 2 years. We're essentially the test subjects here.
I keep running into stories of people stuck with constant nausea, gallbladders being taken out, strange pancreas issues. And the doctors just kind of shrug and say "huh, interesting" because they're in the dark too.
For PCOS specifically, it feels like swapping a bunch of unknown risks for results that only last as long as you're on it. The moment you can't keep up with the $300 a month, you're right back to where you began — except now possibly with a wrecked digestive system.
I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but something about how hard these are being promoted while we know so little long term really doesn't sit right with me.
