I've noticed a ton of posts floating around covering the reconstitution process, but honestly a lot of them read like they were written by a bot — and when I run them through detectors, most flag as AI-generated. That makes it hard to trust the information, so I'd rather just ask real people who've actually done this.

The part I want to get straight is which liquid to use for reconstituting. From what I've gathered, there are several options people mention: bacteriostatic water, deionized water, sterile water, saline solution, and distilled water. I've even come across a few people claiming they use tap water, which honestly sounds like a guaranteed way to end up with an infection — I can't imagine that's a legitimate recommendation.

So what do you all actually use? Is there one option that's clearly better than the rest, or are several of these considered equally safe and effective? Just looking for real-world input from people who've been through the process firsthand.

Honestly a single 30ml bottle of BAC water will last you forever.

Honestly, who in the world is actually using tap water for this?? That's genuinely one of the worst ideas I've come across in a long time.

Honestly, just boiled tap water works fine and it's basically free — just let it boil for about 10 minutes and you're good to go.

Hospira BAC water is the way to go — avoid tap water and distilled water entirely. Stick with BAC water unless whatever you're reconstituting specifically requires something different.

BAC water is generally the go-to for most peptide reconstitution because of its bacteriostatic properties that slow bacterial growth (though it won't kill bacteria, so source quality still matters). BAC NaCl is another solid option and actually preferable for certain peptides/aminos, just worth researching first since some molecules don't play well with sodium chloride. The main time I see people going with plain sterile saline is with neurotoxins, though BAC NaCl makes more sense there if you're splitting doses and coming back to the vial later.

Honestly, bacteriostatic water is really the only sensible choice here.

Personally I only use Hospira BAC water since it's hospital grade — probably an unpopular opinion but I don't trust vendor BAC enough to risk it given what I've invested in the peptides themselves. For tirzepatide specifically I actually use Hospira's NaCl BAC, which is cheaper and easier to find, though from what I've heard it can damage reta and a lot of other peptides so I stick to tirz only with that. Sterile water works fine if you're doing a single-use vial where the whole thing gets used at once, and whatever you do, don't rely on AI for guidance on this stuff.
