<![CDATA[RFK Jr. Says 14 Peptides Are Returning to Legal Compounding — Here's What's Real]]>Big news dropped on February 27, 2026 — RFK Jr. went on Joe Rogan and said roughly 14 of the 19 peptides the FDA restricted back in 2023 are being moved back to Category 1 status. That would mean licensed compounding pharmacies can prepare them again under a physician's prescription.

The 14 reportedly coming back include BPC-157, TB-500, Thymosin Alpha-1, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, AOD-9604, Selank, Semax, KPV, MOTS-C, GHK-Cu, and a few others.

The 5 that are staying restricted: Melanotan II, GHRP-2, GHRP-6, LL-37, and PEG-MGF.

Now here's where I want to pump the brakes a little, because I'm seeing a lot of people misread what this actually means right now.

No formal FDA rule has been published yet. The PCAC review meeting is scheduled for July 23–24, 2026 — that's when formal implementation is supposed to move forward. So legally, we're still in a transitional gray zone until that happens. None of these compounds have FDA approval. A physician prescription is still required for any compounded version. And honestly, the quality verification piece matters more now than ever — unregulated sellers are already using RFK's statements as cover to push products with zero quality oversight.

The direction is encouraging, but implementation is still pending. COA standards haven't changed just because someone made an announcement on a podcast.
